2. Pelajari job desk kita saat ini dan job desk pekerjaan yang ditawarkan
Pertanyaan paling umum yang pasti akan ditanyakan adalah apa job desk kita saat ini. Pertanyaan ini menggali banyak hal; termasuk cara kerja, gaya kerja, energi, motivasi, dll. But don’t worry lah.. as long as kita jujur dan nggak nge-bullshit mengenai kerjaan kita. Kita pasti akan bisa menjawabnya dengan baik.

3. Pelajari kemampuan dan pengetahuan teknikal yang dibutuhkan
Ini sih udah jelaslah.. Mana ada perusahaan yang mau rekrut orang yang gak tau apa-apa sama sekali.. he he he.

4. Berikan kesan yang baik pada interviewer
Hadir tepat waktu, berpakaian yang sopan, menjawab dengan tidak bertele-tele, berkomunikasi dengan lancar dan smart; serta menjaga eye contact adalah beberapa cara untuk memberikan kesan yang baik ke interviewer.

5. Pahami kemampuan diri dan Be yourself
Tidak usah berpura-pura atau melebih-lebihkan keadaan diri kita. Kenapa? mungkin saja dengan begitu nanti kita diterima kerja karena dianggap posisi tersebut sesuai dengan kita. Tapi ketika di terima ternyata kita nggak kek gitu, padahal expectancy mereka sudah terlalu tinggi. Akibatnya ? bisa nggak lolos

Atasi Gugup Saat Wawancara Kerja

Seringkali kegagalan saat mencari kerja disebabkan karena kegugupan yang berlebihan saat wawancara. Hal itu menyebabkan Anda terlihat kikuk dan tidak menarik di depan atasan. Mau tahu cara mengatasinya?

Saat wawancara, yang perlu dibangun adalah kepercayaann diri. Yakinkan diri bahwa Anda mampu menjawab seluruh pernyataan yang diajukan atasan.

Saat wawancara dimulai, lakukan eye contact dengan si pewawancara. Jangan menunduk atau melihat ke arah lain. Karena bisa-bisa si pewawancara tersinggung dan menganggap Anda tidak menghargainya.

Jangan takut untuk berbicara. Bicaralah dengan tegas. Jawablah seluruh pertanyaan dengan tegas tanpa keraguan. Tunjukkan bahwa Anda memiliki karakter yang kuat.

Atur pola tubuh Anda seperti ketika duduk, jangan membungkuk. Tegakkan badan Anda. Hal itu bisa menunjukkan bahwa Anda memiliki kepercayaan diri yang bagus.

Tips Cari Kerja di Internet

Jakarta Banyak jalan untuk mencari pekerjaan. Termasuk lewat aplikasi lamaran yang ada di internet. Sangat mudah dan cepat, namun Anda tak boleh menyepelekannya.

1. Putuskan apakah Anda mau memasukkan lamaran lewat situs-situs resmi perusahaan yang dituju atau lewat portal forum lamaran kerja.

2. Masukkan biodata jelas Anda, latar belakang pendidikan, pengalaman kerja dan lokasi tempat tinggal ketika memasukkan lamaran. Masukkan juga angka pendapatan pasti atau yang Anda harapkan, jika memungkinkan. Masukkan informasi diri sedetil mungkin sebagai referensi.

3. Ketika memasukkan resume Anda lewat situs pencarian kerja, pastikan lamaran telah disusun dengan baik dengan format tulisan yang benar. Usahakan rapi dan enak dibaca. Perhatikan ukuran huruf dan jenis tulisan. Sebagai standar Anda bisa gunakan jenis huruf Arial, Verdana atau Times New Roman dengan ukuran berkisar 10 hingga 12. Jika diperlukan minta bantuan pada yang ahli.

4. Kirimkan pula sampul pembuka surat lamaran. Di sana Anda bisa mencantumkan bagian apa yang ingin Anda masuki dalam perusahaan tersebut. Ini akan memudahkan mereka melihat lamaran Anda. Jangan lupa kembali cantumkan alamat dan telpon Anda agar mudah dihubungi.

5. Masukkan lamaran hanya pada posisi kerja yang terbaik menurut keahlian dan pengalaman Anda. Anda bisa mencari berbagai macam kategori lamaran di beberapa situs terkenal pencari kerja. Anda bisa mendaftarkan diri di sana. Bukan hanya berbagi lowongan, namun situs ini biasanya juga memberikan tips-tips jitu dunia kerja. Tak ada ruginya bukan.

Walau awalnya semangat, pekerjaan rutin kerap membuat kita bosan. Bila kebosanan tak segera diatasi maka profesionalitas kerja pun jadi korban. Sebelum performa kerja anda terancam menurun, baca tips ini!

1. Tuliskan tugas sehari-hari anda.

Bikin daftar pekerjaan anda sehari-hari. Dan berikan tanda pada setiap pekerjaan yang sudah selesai anda kerjakan. Selain bisa lebih fokus dan efisien, juga bisa jadi cara jitu menghindari tudingan anda tidak cukup berusaha menyelesaikan tugas-tugas anda.


2. Minta lebih banyak tugas

Coba bicarakan dengan atasan anda dan minta lebih banyak pekerjaan, termasuk tanggung jawab yang lebih menantang. Bila memungkinkan coba meminta kepada atasan anda untuk bertukar posisi.

Jika tidak mungkin coba bantu rekan kerja anda menyelesaikan tugasnya. Jadi relawan istilahnya. Selain rekan kerja akan merasa terbantu anda pun jadi nggak bosan lagi. Tapi ingat, mintalah ijin terlebih dahulu pada atasan anda. Jangan sampai rekan anda yang mendapat pujian dari hasil kerja anda.

3. Menjadi panitia kegiatan yang dilakukan perusahaan

Bila perusahaan anda akan libur, usulkan untuk membuat liburan bersama. Ide anda perlu dilontarkan pada atasan. Berikan juga usulan tempat-tempat yang cocok untuk dijadikan tempat liburan. Bisa juga anda mengusulkan untuk melakukan bakti sosial. Selain membuat anda lebih akrab dengan lingkungan kerja, hal itu juga bisa menunjukkan reputasi anda sebagai seorang pemimpin. Pasti anda mendapat nilai lebih dari atasan.

4. Menambahkan nilai pada pekerjaan anda

Anda bisa memperlihatkan pada atasan ada bahwa anda memiliki kemampuan lebih. Deskripsi pekerjaan anda hanya perlu menyelesaikan dan mengajukan laporan keuangan standar. Bila anda mampu, mengapa tidak mencoba melakukan analisa atau mengajukan format terbaru?

Untuk mengurangi prasangka anda hanya cari muka, lakukan hal itu tanpa memberi tahu siapapun. Selesaikan sampai tuntas, dan ajukan pada atasan anda. Tidak perlu meminta jawaban langsung. Tunggu beberapa hari, sampai si bos memberikan jawaban.

Bila atasan anda menerima proposal yang anda ajukan tadi tentu akan menambahkan nilai pekerjaan anda. Pasti si bos akan lebih antusias memberikan tanggung jawab pada anda.

5. Ambil inisiatif dan mulailah proyek baru

Jangan menunggu perintah seseorang. Jadilah pro-aktif. Coba membuat data base baru, atau cari klien baru yang cukup potensial untuk perusahaan. Bisa juga mencoba menangani materi promosi perusahaan anda.

Selalu komunikasikan dengan pengambil keputusan setiap langkah anda. Tujuan anda adalah menunjukkan kemampuan anda untuk bekerja, bukan membuat orang lain terlihat tidak mampu atau mencoba meraih posisi yang kosong.

6. Berpikirlah positif

Coba untuk selalu berpikir positif. Anda bosan karena hanya menangani email perusahaan, namun di satu sisi coba tumbuhkan pikiran bahwa anda diberi tanggung jawab mengkomunikasikan perusahaan dengan pihak-pihak lain. Jadi
bila ada konsumen yang mengeluh atau ada kolega yang menghubungi perusahaan, bisa cepat ditanggapi. apalagi bila segera dibicarakan dengan kolega yang lebih senior, siapa tahu anda dapat promosi.

7. Cobalah Istirahat

Bila kebosanan benar-benar merasuki anda dan mengancam karir anda, beristirahat sebentar. Pergilah makan siang atau minum kopi di kantin. Ajaklah satu atau dua kolega baru di tempat kerja anda untuk bergabung.

Curi sedikit waktu untuk bermain games yang disedikan perangkat PC anda. Main soliter atau bounce. Tapi jangan terlalu lama, bisa-bisa anda kena semprot atasan.

Apa yang Dikehendaki Perusahaan dari Sebuah Lamaran Pekerjaan

Iklan pekerjaan meminta CV yang lengkap dari para pelamar yang merasa sesuai untuk posisi tersebut. Apakah maksudnya?

Perusahaan tidak akan menyukai pernyataan yang berlebihan, penataan yang buruk, kesalahan pengejaan/struktur kalimat serta informasi yang tidak lengkap.
Perusahaan akan terlebih dulu tertarik pada lamaran yang ditulis atau diketik dengan rapih, yang struktur kalimatnya teratur. Lalu perusahaan juga ingin mengetahui tentang si pelamar, yaitu, seperti apakah orang itu, apa saja kemampuannya, dan bagaimana orang tersebut akan melakukan pekerjaan pada posisi tersebut.
Sebagai pendahuluan, lamaran tersebut harus meliputi surat dan daftar riwayat hidup (CV).

Surat

Surat lamaran – yang dimaksud untuk menunjukkan kecocokan si pelamar pada pekerjaan yang diiklankan – tidak boleh lebih dari satu halaman, harus ditulis dalam format bisnis resmi dan harus meliputi rincian berikut:

  • Nama, alamat dan tanggal si pelamar;
  • Nama perusahaan, personal & departemen yang dituju dan alamat perusahaan;
  • Panggilan (nama belakang, jika diketahui, atau Bapak/Ibu);
  • Pembukaan, memberitahu si pemberi pekerjaan tentang pekerjaan yang dilamar;
  • Badan surat, dengan penjelasan yang sangat singkat tentang pengalaman dan keberhasilan yang sesuai dengan persyaratan yang tertera pada iklan;
  • Penutup, dengan permintaan wawancara untuk penilaian secara pribadi.

Daftar Riwayat Hidup (CV)

CV – yang merupakan ringkasan kualifikasi, pengalaman dan keberhasilan si pelamar, harus mudah dimengerti dan disajikan secara wajar dan teratur. CV ini harus mencakup rincian berikut:

  • Rincian pribadi – seperti nama lengkap, usia, jenis kelamin, status, alamat dan nomor telepon;
  • Kualifikasi pendidikan – seperti tanggal dan hasil ujian, pelatihan khusus dan pengetahuan yang diperoleh, bidang spesialisasi, jenis kualifikasi dan penghargaan;
  • Pengalaman kerja – didaftar mulai dari pekerjaan terakhir hingga terdahulu serta tahun-tahun kerjanya – seperti lingkup kerja, kewajiban, tanggung jawab, keahlian (dalam pekerjaan dan hubungan antar pribadi) dan keberhasilan-keberhasilan. Karena ini merupakan bagian yang terpenting dari CV, maka informasi yang diberikan tidak boleh berantakan dan terlalu panjang;
  • Latar belakang pribadi – seperti minat dan aktifitas yang tidak berhubungan dengan pekerjaan, atribut yang menunjang pengalaman kerja dan hubungan sosial/kewarganegaraan;
  • Referensi – dari orang-orang yang dapat dihubungi si pemberi pekerjaan untuk memastikan kebenaran informasi yang diberikan.

Lamaran yang baik dapat memaparkan keberhasilan-keberhasilan si pelamar, memaparkan kepribadiannya dan menjadikannya kandidat yang paling sesuai untuk pekerjaan tersebut.

1. Qualifications

Prospective applicant must meet the following qualification criteria :

citizen of the country to which this scholarship program is offered. (including applicant’s parents)

holder of Korean citizenship.

(2) Applicants should be under 25 years of age as of March 1, 2009.

adequate health, both physically and mentally.

outside of Korea

① Airplane ticket or airfare :
The grantees will receive an airplane ticket or be paid an economy class

※ NIIED does not compensate fees for the domestic travel both in the grantee’s
country and Korea.

※ Airfare for entry into Korea
will not be provided to a grantee who already arrived and has been staying
in Korea as of the confirmation date of selection of scholarship students.

② Monthly Allowance : 800,000 won per month

③ Tuitions (an entrance fee and a registration fee) : The
full entrance fee are exempted by the host institution. The full tuition is
exempted by NIIED.

④ Settlement Allowance : 200,000 won upon arrival

⑤ Repatriation Allowance : 100,000 won upon completion of
studies

⑥ Korean Language Training
Expenses : The full costs up to 1 year (NIIED pays directly to the entrusted
language training institution)

⑦ Medical Insurance: The grantees will be provided with
health insurance during the period of their study program in Korea for major
accidents and illnesses. (The medical fee will be reimbursed through the
insurance company to the grantee after he/she pays first)

※ NIIED does not compensate fees for insurance of traveling to and from

⑧ Any grantee who gives up one’s study during the
scholarship period will not receive airfare and allowance for
repatriation except for the cases approved by NIIED such as severance of
diplomatic relations, war or other natural disasters.

※ Any grantee who quits the
program in 3 months after one’s entrance into Korea, should refund all
scholarship fees(The airfare of arriving Korea, settlement allowance, monthly

The School of Applied Social Sciences at Durham University invites applications for a range of studentships and bursaries for PhD study starting in October 2009. Fully funded Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) studentships are available for Sociology (including Criminology and Sociology of Sport) and Social Work (including Community and Youth Work) and are open to UK and EU students. ESRC studentships

+3 studentships are for those who have already completed recognised ESRC research training at Masters level; 1+3 studentships are for those without a recognised research Masters degree. Giessen University’s International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC), funded by the German federal government’s Excellence Initiative, offers a three-year structured PhD-programme in the study of culture. With its excellent research environment, a doctoral programme which is tailored to the needs of PhD students and the intensive personal support it provides,
the Graduate Centre offers postgraduate students optimum conditions for their PhD-projects and a custom-made preparation for the time thereafter, both with regard to academic and non-academic careers.

From 01st October 2009, the GCSC offers up to 9 PhD scholarships.

PhD scholarships include a monthly stipend of approximately 1.000
Euros and are
offered for one year with the possibility of two extensions, each of
a year.
Scholarships commence on October 1st, 2009.

Acceptance of a scholarship requires participation in the study
programme and
the wide-ranging events offered by the GCSC, as well as active
involvement in at
least one GCSC graduate research group. Scholarship holders must
register as PhD
students at Justus Liebig University. There are no tuition fees for

Two Year Postgraduate Scholarship in Emotionally Intelligent ICTs for Social
Innovation

corporation NEC Japan, Masters by Research scholarships are available for
deserving candidates.

* Background*

Sensemaking is an emerging paradigm for understanding social dynamics in organisations. It postulates that the process of translating the personal
interpretation, knowledge or meaning into a specific behaviour, decision or
action is moderated by interaction of an individual’s rational with their
affective characteristics. It proposes to significantly alter the analysis
and interpretation of data about people, internet users and employees in an
organisation. In general, emotional systems in humans influence many
cognitive processes including decision making, focus and attention, goal
generation and categorization, all of which are important for design of
human-centred intelligent systems.

In this context, ICTs which form an integral part of organisations can be
used as effective tools for social innovation. It is envisaged that
emotionally
intelligent ICTs would play a pivotal role in design of sustainable
organisations in the 21st century by improving the quality of life at work
(e.g., through design of emotionally cohesive and culturally fit teams)
and at home, by provision of emotionally intelligent health care and health
promotion systems (especially for the elderly) to help control spiraling
health care costs, and by facilitating travel and e-tourism through
emotionally intelligent e-tourism systems.

The postgraduate students will be expected to work on the following research
projects

1. Human-centred intelligent system for constructing emotionally cohesive
and culturally fit teams.
2. Emotionally intelligent persuasive dialog system for health promotion.

3. Emotionally intelligent health care (nurse) robot for pre and
post-operative care.
4. Emotionally Intelligent e-tourism system for holiday destination
planning and sight seeing.

The postgraduate students will be supervised by a research team consisting
of researchers from La Trobe university and NEC Corp., Japan. The research
team is headed by La Trobe’s Associate Prof. Rajiv Khosla. An annual stipend
of up to AUD 25,000 per annum for 2 years is available from Jan 2009 for
deserving candidates. The annual stipend includes a research internship for
6 months each year (i.e., in 2009 and 2010) at NEC’s technologically
advanced research lab in Japan.

The prospective candidate must have completed a four-year undergraduate
degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent with an

  • Accountable for commercial aspect of proposed technical solution.
  • Possess technical competency of Btel’s product/service including but not limiting to capability and coverage.
  • Manage vendor/supplier in product/service delivery and pricing according to agreed commercial arrangement.
  • Presentation of technical solution to customer.
  • Assist in bid management in response to request for proposal and also regular from channel partners.
  • Provide regular technical update on Btel’s product/service to sales team
  • Assist in office IT support
  • Provide unblassed support to all sales team members

Requirement:

  • Male or Female, 23-35 years old.
  • Minimum Bachelor degree from reputable University (Engineering of Telecommunication / Electro / Business / Computer).
  • Preferably have minimum 5 years experience in a customer facing pre-sale consultancy role in the IT/Data Communication industry.
  • Proven technical network design capability including systems analysis, technical solution, development, communications strategy planning.
  • Have ability to build and maintain close relationships with IT executives of multinational customers.
  • Have a sound knowledge of voice and data communications. Fluency in key languages and dialects (highly desirable).
  • Proven customer relationship skills, including building good rapport, gathering relevant information, effective presentation & negotiation skills.
  • Have ability in developing, scoping complex network solutions.
  • Have knowledge of the player, developments and trends in the Indonesian/Asian telecommunication industry.
  • Proven and recognized subject matter expert in IT/data communications applications.
  • Sound knowledge and demonstrated usage of consultative selling processes.
  • Proven understanding of business processes and technical implementation issues associated with business applications such as SAP, Lotus Notes, Electronic commerce, electronic messaging etc.
