Description:
A Postdoctoral Associate position is currently available at the Department of Radiology, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

The applicant should have a PhD degree in engineering or physical sciences. A background in MRI and strong computer skills are highly desirable. The applicant will work at the Childrens Medical Center Dallas (CMCD) and participate in MRI research focusing on the fMRI and DTI of the brain. He/she will also have the opportunity to pursue independent research interests in MRI.

The Radiology Department at CMCD is strongly committed to research in MRI. There is a very strong leadership at the department level and a pervasive research culture among the radiologists. There are two PhD faculty members in the field of MRI. The hospital is equipped with 6 Philips MRI scanners and is a Philips showcase site for MRI in children. A Philips MR clinical scientist is on site to provide technical support. Current research projects include fMRI and DTI investigations of reading impairment in school age children and childhood cancers. This post doctoral position offers a great opportunity for starting and developing a career in MRI research.
